Wheel-thrown ceramic vase
This is a ceramic vase, thrown on the wheel with light brown clay. Once it has been formed and trimmed, it is first fired to 1800 degrees F and then cooled to room temperature, after which a white glaze is applied to the inside and about half-way down the exterior surface. It is then fired again to 2200 degrees F, which vitrifies the clay and hardens the glaze.
Perfect to display small floral arrangements, or as the base for a reed oil diffuser (reeds and oil not included).
Each piece is hand-made and glazed, making each one unique. No two pieces will be exactly alike.
These vases are approximately 4 1/2 to 5" tall and about 3 to 3 1/2" wide
