My name is Molly, and I’m the potter behind MVG Earth.

Pottery has been a love of mine since I was a little girl, molding polymer clay with friends and discovering the magic of creating something beautiful from scratch. My stoneware journey officially began in 2020, when I signed up for my first class at a local studio—and I haven’t looked back since.

Now, I work from my home, creating pieces that feel both vibrant and personal.

My pottery centers on everyday pieces—mugs, bowls, vases, and jars—that bring a bit of art into the routine. My signature piece, a spherical jar topped with a delicate flower, embodies the balance of beauty and functionality that I aim for in every creation.

I enjoy exploring glazes and textures, experimenting with my own mixtures and combining them with high-quality commercial glazes. Raku firing is one of my favorite techniques, and I often incorporate copper and turquoise glazes, as well as “naked” raku with intricate horsehair and ostrich feather designs for something truly unique. One of my collections features earthy, speckled tan clay, exposing the raw material beneath a glossy white glaze, while others highlight bright, bold colors with rich dimension and movement.

Each piece I make reflects my love for pottery and the joy I feel in each stage of the process—from shaping the clay to watching the glazes flow in the kiln. I hope these creations bring that same sense of wonder into your home!
