Once it has been formed and trimmed, it is first fired to 1800 degrees F and then cooled to room temperature, after which a glaze is applied to the surface. It is then fired again to 2200 degrees F, which vitrifies the clay and hardens the glaze.
This mug measures 4 ½ inches wide, 5 inches tall, and has a 24-oz capacity.
